A Little 'Bout Me

My family has lived in the Commonwealth since 1765 and has fought in every major war.
1. I am a decorated Army infantry field grade officer who served in the Homeland, Bosnia, and Iraq after 9/11.
2. In Iraq, I was the lead operations advisor for the fightin’ 4th Brigade, 1st Division, Iraqi Army in Fallujah and is held partly responsible for stabilizing the battle space.
3. I was medically retired from the Army due to injuries sustained in the performance of my job.
4. In Bosnia, my synergetic ops-intel system was published in two esteemed Army journals.
5. I hold 100 graduate credits in history, American Studies, and education and am almost completed with my Doctor of Education (the war put me back five years).
6. I have been published fifteen times in magazines or journals as well as five books.
7. I am married with two children.
8. I am 43 years old and have lived in the district (Elm) some 12 years.
9. I teach at L-S and my team of teachers leads the county in PSSA scores.
10. I am a proven problem solver and leader.
11. I will put district over party, if need be.
12. I think that Barack Obama is doing a fine job; I like Senator Casey, do not like Specter, and I also like Senator Webb from VA. For governor, I prefer Oronato but all DEM candidates this year are A-OK in my book.
13. I believe that William Penn was our greatest governor and that we should emulate his leadership and tenents as much as possible. Would William Penn have protected the stronger in British society or the weaker? Would William Penn talk tough about conflict and then sit back and do nothing except count his tax break money while his province and country was hurting?
14. I ran against two Republicans for Warwick for school board and one of them never, ever made a public statement about anything. I believe that elected officials should tell the voters--and not just the party bosses--what he or she would do on key policy matters.
15. I refuse to allow Randall Wenger and other local Republican chieftains choose my elected officials. Send a real message to Harrisburg just like the good people of Massachusetts sent one to their local majority party in order to improve said gov't operations.
